Day 5 | November 5

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

God is light, and if you are a Christ follower, His light is in you. Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation.” God wants to use you as a point of light for not only the 30,000 people attending GOC but also those you serve within GOC. We can’t reflect God’s light without His power. A light bulb is worthless without a power source, and so are we apart from God (John 15:5). God’s power source is His Word. When we connect with God’s Word, we have the power to reflect God’s love, His peace, His grace, His forgiveness, and His kindness to others.

When people see God’s light shining through us, they will want to glorify God. They will recognize God for Who He really is and will want to reflect Him as well.

PRAYER: “Lord, you are my light and my salvation. Thank you for saving me and giving me Your light. Help me to be a point of light for others. May everything I do in GOC, whether on or off the stage, glorify You in every way.”

PRAY PRAYERS 1-4

DAY 1: “God, start a revival in me. Help me to wake up 30,000 people to Jesus in GOC. Grant spiritual results beyond what we could ever dream or imagine, results only explained by Your power.”

DAY 2: “God, open my eyes today. Show me where You are working. Give me the courage to join You in Your work no matter what it is.”

DAY 3: “God, show me any areas of my life that are not totally surrendered to You today. Lord, forgive me. I surrender it to you. Consecrate me now for what You have called me to do in GOC.”

DAY 4: “God, use my trials to glorify You. Teach me how to pray bold prayers that bring You glory.”

Congratulations! You have finished the first five days of prayer! Jesus said to keep asking, seeking, and knocking, and then the door will be opened to you. Don’t quit and miss the blessings God has planned for you.

Day 4 | November 4

“This happened so that the works of God might be displayed in Him.” John 9:3

This man, blind from birth, didn’t go through hard times because of sin. Jesus said he was allowed to be blind so God would be glorified. Likewise, we, at times, must go through trials, not for punishment but for God to be glorified in us.

Sometimes, we pray “get-me-out” prayers when we need to pray “get-me-through” prayers that will ultimately glorify God. If we are honest, most of the time, we pray for our comfort rather than for God’s glory.

We should be bold enough to ask God for big things even when we are not sure it will glorify Him. If God says no, it just means we asked for the wrong thing, or for the wrong reason, or at the wrong time. Either way, we should trust that God’s plan is the best plan.

PRAYER: “God, use my trials to glorify You. Teach me how to pray bold prayers that bring You glory.”

Day 3 | November 3

“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua 3:5

Before Israel crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land, they first had to consecrate themselves before God would part the waters.

Before we serve in GOC, we, too, need to consecrate ourselves if we want God to do the miraculous. To be consecrated means to be totally surrendered to God in every area of your life, your time, your treasure, and your talent. Are you?

Nothing is more powerful than a heart totally surrendered to Jesus.

PRAYER: “God, show me any areas of my life that are not totally surrendered to You today. Lord, forgive me. I surrender it to You. Consecrate me now for what You have called me to do in GOC.”

PRAY PRAYERS 1-2

Day 2 | November 2

“‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

God’s plans for our lives are rarely our plans. Daily, we need to ask Him what His plans are and follow them with faith and courage. If you want to live a life that counts for eternity and one that can only be explained by God, make this your daily prayer:

PRAYER: “God, open my eyes and show me where You are working today. Give me the courage to join You in Your work, no matter what it is.”

REPEAT THE DAY 1 PRAYER

DAY 1: “God, start a revival in me. Help me to wake up 30,000 people to Jesus in GOC. Grant us spiritual results beyond what we could ever dream or imagine, results only explained by Your power.”

Continue praying for your top three personal requests you want God to answer over the next 40 days.

Day 1 | November 1

Day 1 | November 1

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,” Ephesians 3:20.

With His power working in us, God can do so much more than we could ever ask or even imagine. God specializes in the impossible. Nothing is too hard for Him. All things are possible with Him.

Scripture says, “We have not because we ask not.” So, for the next 40 days, let’s dream big and pray hard for the people who attend GOC and for the people who serve in GOC.

For the next 40 days, spiritual warfare will increase for all of us involved in GOC, so let’s pray for each other. Pray for safety, for good health, and for strength to finish the race! Our only weapon against Satan is God’s Word, so let’s spend more time reading and meditating on the scriptures we receive every morning for the next 40 days.

PRAYER: “God, start a revival in me. Help me to wake up 30,000 people to Jesus in GOC. Grant us spiritual results beyond what we could ever dream or imagine, results only explained by Your power.”
